30 days of writing tips… tip no 22… Libraries…

Some writers don’t know and to be honest I didn’t either until a letter plonked on my doorstep from the British Libraries claiming I owed them free of charge so many copies of my books and after research I found it to be true. You must for legal reasons send off 1 copy to the British Library and should be delivered to:

Legal Deposit Office
The British Library
Boston Spa
West Yorkshire
LS23 7BY

Then there are also five more libraries who will need a copy, the Bodleian libraries, national library of Scotland, national library of Wales, Cambridge University library and the library of Trinity college Dublin. To save time and hassel their is an agent who deals with this and is best to send the five copies to:

The Agent
Agency for the Legal Deposit Libraries
161 Causewayside

I still need to send of some copies and plan on doing that this week hopefully lol. But just as a warming in the UK this needs to be done.
